Winter at the Stubaital
An unforgettable winter vacation for the entire family
Fresh powder snow, bright sunshine, remarkable ski slopes and rustic huts: This is winter in the holiday paradise of the Stubaital in Tyrol.
Naturally, most of the time will be spent on the slopes. A total of 150 kilometers in 4 skiing areas fulfill the dreams of a white winter for skiers and snowboarders alike. Snow is absolutely guaranteed on the Stubai Glacier, where you can carve your turns 3,210 meters above sea level. Fun parks, deep-snow slopes, magic carpet, après ski: Skiing at the Stubaital is probably the best way to enjoy winter to the fullest, with incredible views and delightful impressions.
Ski safari, or the most extraordinary 5-day week
The special thing about ski holidays at 4-star Hotel Serles in Mieders? 5 days a week, host Josef or junior host Thomas take our guests to the most beautiful skiing areas in and around Innsbruck, or even to nearby South Tyrol. Every day, they decide at short notice where to go, on the one hand depending on the weather, and on the other on the expertise of the guests. These can decide if they prefer to take their turns down the perfect slopes on their own or together with host Josef. The hotel’s own ski bus takes our guests to the skiing area in the morning and goes back to Hotel Serles in the afternoon.
Ski schools and rentals
The current trend is towards no longer buying skis, but rather renting the entire material. On the one hand, it is very convenient not having to cram everything into the car, on the other it guarantees having the best-prepared and state-of-the-art equipment at your disposal each day. Numerous shops offer the complete skiing equipment for rental or purchase. Especially for the smallest ones who only get started with skiing, rental material and the professional support of our partners at the BIG Family Ski Schools of the Stubaital are highly recommended. With a lot of love, patience and expertise, they familiarize the kids with skiing, while always keeping it fun. Tip: Kids up to 10 years get a free ski pass when accompanied by a paying parent.
